I just bought ReSearch and i am simply overwhelmed, it made it seem much easier then it is. How do i start with this? I mean i thought it would be a program then you uploaded it into your database using a FTP and MySQL. Unless that is what hte admin for 50$ is meant for idk how to start, how should i start because the readme file is so compact and confusing it is very unhelpful there are no tutorials about this online.

You're close. The files simply get ftp'd to the server, but first you need to set your server paths and MySQL connection info in the config files. Your host can provide you those details if you're uncertain of them.

Also, you will need access to your database administration program. Most hosts have phpMyAdmin preinstalled nowadays. That will allow you to copy in the database creation file to set up your database. You should be up and running at that point.

The admin add-on program is for administering the results database once everything is set up.

Cheers,
Dan

It just makes some of the administrative tasks easier, like deleting a bad results upload, editing or deleting results rows line by line, searching for stuff, uploading results, etc. All of it can be done in phpMyAdmin, but the admin add-on makes those tasks easier for someone less familiar with it.

Cheers,
Dan
