Hi there Dan!
I am rebuilding our community website, and happily the calendar has been a smashing success, and is used heavily- great for visitors looking to come into the area.
I am creating the new site in xhtml and went to validate the homepage where the minicalendar reside. The page won't validate, mostly because of the code generated with the calendar. Is this something I should be concerned about?

I probably shouldn't admit this, but I've pretty much ignored XHMTL. I just don't see point of something who's basic purpose is to require good code, when good code is just as easy to write in its absence. As such, I haven't done any coding with the XHMTL/XML requirements in mind, such as <br /> type tags instead of <br> ones, which would cause validation issues such as what you encountered. I don't know if the problem runs deeper than that or if you could just do some find and replace work in the included files, but that would be worth a try if it's important to you.

Thanks Dan for that reply.
I will try that (back up everything first, of course!) I am attempting to do all valid code these days, not just for the sake of preparing sites for clients that will render properly, but keeping in mind the directions that search engines are leaning to- documents with proper doctypes, etc - all things the WC3 recommends, I think mostly in efforts to get rid of autogenerated s**m sites. If there is anything other than the most basic tags like you suggested for a search and replace, I will write back for a recommendation. I don't want to mess up a good thing!
Cheers
