A standard setup, awaiting search input:
Before any searches are entered, the user is greeted with the number of events and results in the database. They must select at least one search criteria, up to the maximum number of search options you choose to include.
The first 10 results after searching for the Capitol Mile:
After searching the database, the overall number of events and results is not displayed -- saves screen space and does not distract one's attention from the search results. All matching results are returned in rows with alternating colors, making it very easy to read. The previous search criteria is entered in the search input area, in case the user wants to further refine their search. The number of matching results and the submitted search criteria are printed just above the search results. Items that were searched, such as the "Capitol Mile" event name, are high lighted in bold.
